Ulasan:

I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt ni. Dari masa dia kecil lagi dalam 3rd Rock From The Sun.

Oh and cerita ni best. I can write a thesis about masculine and divine feminine menggunakan cerita ni sebagai sampel untuk menghuraikan teori toxic masculinity dan badan wanita sebagai simbol yang di-opress as well as oppressive dalam consumerisma padat supernormal releasers....

Alamak bunyi cam tajuk picisan drama Melayu la plak! Haha.

The Magnificent Seven (2016)

Pengarah: Antoine Fuqua
Pelakon: Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Lee Byung-Hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Peter Sarsgaard, Haley Bennett
Tarikh tayang: 22 September 2016
Pengedar: Sony Pictures
IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt2404435/

Ulasan:

- A good modern western genre movie. A proper remake; fine-tuned to fit modern audience, at least as a very good popcorn movie. Never watched the original for comparison but for me this movie is a proper statement of “Cowboys are still cool, it never goes out of style”
- An exciting ride. Simple storyline. Pacing steady. 2 hours but never boring. Quite light tone, but heavy certain points. Lots of action [30-40minutes of final action arc, puas hati]. Even though it’s PG13 the actions are borderline R rated. Real deal when it needs to, no 'play-play' one [even though some of the seven are quite playful, haha]
- Beautiful scene shots. Only a little rushed on editing, most noticeably when there’s a scene involving multiple characters dialogue scene. But it doesn’t bother me much.
- Stellar casts. Even the not so famous ones. All portrayal are natural and effortless, delivers the emotion well when the scene demands it. Denzel Washington once again strengthen his throne as the icon of revenge/payback. All characters are really cool with their own “crazy” personality.
- Not much of character development but for a few characters. For me not really important. Chemistry? Crazy strangers that clicked the moment they met each other; and they are truly magnificent in kicking asses. Easy thing.
- 'Aweks comei' [Haley Bennett] but not only to sell cute face. Her character anchors and justified, no over selling like Megan Fox movies.

Tarikh tayang: 13 Oktober 2016
Pengedar: Sony Pictures
IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt3062096/

Ulasan:

Inferno filem yang diadaptasi dari buku phenomenal karya Dan Brown dengan judul yang sama dan sekaligus menjadi sekuel kedua dari The Da Vinci Code ini boleh dikatakan "awesome and fantastic"... And the twist.. I really love it!

Recomended banget dah nih film Inferno!!

The Angry Birds Movie (2016)

Pengarah: Fergal Reilly, Clay Kaytis
Pelakon: Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage
Tarikh tayang: 12 Mei 2016
Pengedar: Sony Pictures
IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt1985949/

Ulasan:

If you're one of the few people who never downloaded Angry Birds, the game's premise is delightfully simple: Flightless, multicolored birds slingshot themselves into pigs' fortresses so they can retrieve their stolen eggs. For the movie, that idea is fleshed out even more and tells the story of how those birds got to be so angry in the first place.

If there's one thing The Angry Birds Movie gets absolutely right, it's pairing the characters with their voice counterpart. The voice cast is totally spot-on! The animation and design work are beautifully brought to life from the games' tropical color palette, giving the show a unique visual style.

The showstopper and highlight of Angry Birds is the final act, which is basically a revved-up version of the mobile game. Here, the birds start hurling themselves at the pigs' fortresses, causing them to collapse. Not only does every bird get their moment to shine, but it's done in such a way that's both funny and visually exciting.

One more thing, any movie that begins with a Black Sabbath tune, which was tastefully done, and catches me off-guard with a Stanley Kubrick reference, gets a huge nod from me!
